Our Buses....

We love all things Volkswagen, especially buses, as you can see our passion extends to unusual stuff like ex-german Feuerwehr and DRK service vehicles. The gipsy is our little bit of luxury when camping!

the little one in the photo, obviously the youngest and better looking ;-)
looking a little grumpy in that photo but wearing some good ole 70's gear!
the taller one and by the looks of it looking after his little brother, the way it should be.
our mum and dad have always had VW's with many T2's and T25's, Golfs, Polos and Caddy's as we were growing up, even a couple of audi's. This must be where we get our passion from, summer holidays spent in the back of a T2 Panel, what more could you ask for??

'The Bus Brothers' Clothing Label started way back in early 1997, the first VW show that we traded at was 'Stanford Hall', still one of our favorites to this day! Armed with a Swedish '55 Oval that we had at the time our trade stand was primitive to say the least, rain? Well we hoped and prayed it wouldn't, thankfully it didn't that year....
After all the fun and success plus the sense of being part of the VW Scene we decided that we would continue, next step was to invest in a little rain cover and some well needed display aids to show off our wears.
In the year 2000 we made a debut at Bug Jam with our 1965 Splitscreen 'Jeans Bus', at the time this was a radical custom bus with suicide doors and what was then probably the lowest bus ever, this won the coveted prize of being on the Front Cover of Volksworld Magazine, amongst other treasured trophies.
Next step was to find an earlier bus, that led us to purchase a '53 Barndoor, just a shell and in need of extensive restoration, over the following years we collected many NOS parts along with High Performance engine bits, old skool wheels (3 sets of, don't ask! Mark has got a bit of a wheel fetish) and a Drag Race Gearbox. Sadly in early 2008 after years of dreaming the decision was made to hand the project over to someone else to complete. The figures involved in building such a high spec racer meant that the dream had to end (for now anyway....)
Over the last 4/5 years we have enjoyed importing the odd bus or two for our pleasure, check out the 'sharp shooters' page to see what we have owned! With our passion for unusual low mileage original buses we have been proud owners of some awesome rides, in the process of importing buses from Germany we have made some very special life long friends, Helmet, Bruno, Ulrike, Ann-Christin and Falk, you know who you are! ;-) MFG.
The next Chapter....
